PyGeek 2026 Author Guidelines

1. Submission Types

  • Review Version (Double-blind): For peer review.
  • Camera-ready Version: Final accepted manuscript.

2. Language

  • Manuscripts may be written in Korean or English.
  • For Korean manuscripts, provide both Korean abstract and English abstract.

3. Manuscript Length

  • Required: 2-5 pages, including references.
  • Recommended: Around 3 pages for concise presentation of key contributions.

4. Layout and Typography

  • Paper size: A4.
  • Layout: Two-column format (except first-page title block policy in template).
  • Main text font size: 10pt.
  • Line spacing: 1.15.
  • Alignment: Justified.

5. Double-blind Policy (Review Version)

  • Remove all identifying information:
  • Author names
  • Affiliations
  • Email addresses
  • Acknowledgements
  • Self-identifying statements
  • Author information must not appear in the review file.

6. Title, Abstract, and Keywords

  • Provide title in the required language format in template.
  • Title must be written in both Korean and English.
  • Capitalize the first letter of major words in the English title (except articles, conjunctions, and prepositions where appropriate).
  • Abstract must be written in both Korean and English.
  • Recommended abstract length: 200-400 words for Korean and 200-400 words for English.
  • Korean and English abstracts should be consistent in content and meaning.
  • Abstract should include:
  • Research background and objective
  • Research method
  • Main results
  • Conclusion and implications
  • Write clearly and concisely so readers can understand the key contribution from the abstract alone.
  • Prefer present tense and active voice.
  • Avoid unnecessary wording and exaggerated expressions.
  • Keywords: 3-5 terms after the abstract (in both Korean and English sections when applicable).
  • Keywords should be specific, topic-relevant, and commonly used in the field.

6.1 Author Names, Affiliations, and Corresponding Author

  • Author names and affiliations should be provided in both Korean and English.
  • Clearly indicate each author's position/title as required by the template.
  • If there is a corresponding author, mark the corresponding author on the first page of the manuscript.
  • The corresponding author must be explicitly labeled in English (for example: Corresponding author: Name (email)).

7. Figures and Tables

  • Number figures as Fig. 1, Fig. 2, ...
  • Number tables as Table 1, Table 2, ...
  • Place figure captions below figures.
  • Place table titles above tables.
  • Ensure readability in black-and-white printing.
  • Use English for axis labels, legends, and table headers.

7.1 Introduction

  • The introduction should briefly describe the broader research context and explain why the study is important.
  • Clearly define the purpose and significance of the study.
  • Review relevant prior work and cite key references.
  • Conclude the introduction with the main objective and expected contribution.
  • Write so that non-specialist readers in neighboring fields can still follow the motivation.

7.2 Research Methods

  • Describe methods in enough detail for reproducibility of experiments or simulations.
  • Clearly explain newly proposed methods/protocols and provide proper citations where needed.
  • If software is used, specify software name and version, and clarify whether code availability is provided.

7.3 Experimental or Simulation Results

  • Present results concisely and accurately with clear interpretation.
  • Ensure that key findings are directly connected to the research objective.

7.4 Section and Subsection Numbering

  • Use sequential numbering for sections and subsections in the main text.
  • Keep numbering consistent across the manuscript.

7.5 Equations

  • Center equations in the text.
  • Number equations sequentially in order of appearance.

7.6 Additional Rules for Figures and Tables

  • Insert figures and tables close to where they are first cited in the text.
  • Number all figures and tables in order of appearance.
  • Captions should be concise and understandable in Korean and English when applicable.
  • Include clear column headings for all tables.
  • Keep sufficient image resolution for print readability.

8. References

  • List references in the order of first citation.
  • Use a consistent English bibliography style.
  • Include complete metadata: authors, title, source, year, and pages/DOI (if applicable).

참고문헌은 본문 인용 순서대로 번호를 매겨 영문으로 작성하며, 저자·제목·출처·연도 등 서지정보를 일관된 형식으로 기재한다.

  • Book:

  • Journal Article:

  • Patent:

Patentee(s), Title of Invention, Patent No., Registration Date. Example: J. S. Kim and J. S. Jeong, Navigation monitoring device for ship and its method, Patent no. 10-1900851, 14 Sept., 2018.

  • Web Document:

9. Camera-ready Only Sections

  • The following are included only after acceptance:
  • Author Information
  • Acknowledgement
  • Conflict of Interest statement (if required by venue policy)
  • Corresponding author information (if applicable) should appear on the first page in English.

Suggested label in template:

> Author Information: Include only in the camera-ready version after acceptance.

10. Final Checklist

  • [ ] Page length is within 2-5 pages.
  • [ ] Line spacing and font settings follow template rules.
  • [ ] Double-blind requirements are satisfied (review version only).
  • [ ] Figures/tables and captions follow placement rules.
  • [ ] References are complete and consistently formatted.
  • [ ] PDF renders correctly without broken layout.
